About The Position

Kowalski Companies, Inc. a 105-year-old family-owned company is seeking a full-time FSQA Supervisor to work in our Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department in our Kowalski Companies. Inc. plant. Position Title: FSQA Supervisor Location: Hamtramck, MI (In-person) Job Type: Full-Time Starting Pay: $75,000/ annually This position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the facility's Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulation and SQF and customer requirements. This role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of FSQA policies (programs, procedures, and training) at the site. This position is a management level role ensuring that all policies, documentation and records, and behaviors are effectively implemented and consistently executed. Ensure that the facility is always audit ready. Key facility contact for all regulatory, second and third-party audits. Manage the facility's internal auditing program, and verification, validation and calibration schedules and activities. Lead facility FSQA team meetings. Ensure timely corrections and/or corrective actions are implemented following any identified non-conformances as appropriate. Maintain records supporting a robust food safety system and all relevant regulatory requirements. Actively identify gaps and opportunities for improvement as they pertain to Food Safety and Quality. This role directly supervises QC technicians and housekeeping associates.
