Days off and available shifts vary based on site needs at the time. Shift Start Time End Time 1st 6:30 AM 3:30 PM 1st 6:45 AM 3:15 PM 2nd 3:15 PM 11:45 PM 2nd 3:30 PM 12:00 AM 2nd 3:45 PM 12:15 AM Ensures the Food Safety and quality of all product labeled, portioned, cooked, MAP, packaged, and shipped from Home Chef Tempo by working alongside production to conduct on-the-line checks of product against recipe specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must have floor presence and be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in food quality is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Verification of CCPs & CQPs: Conduct inspections at RTH production to ensure Food Safety & Quality requirements are met & recorded in the appropriate form
  • Assist in assigning daily and weekly responsibilities for RTH FSQA Techs and Sanitors, making sure there are appropriate resources to cover all activities
  • Verification of the accuracy of ingredients being used for production based on culinary recipe
  • Verification cook & chill temperature limits have been met & documented appropriately
  • Ensure post-lethality exposed product is properly stored to prevent cross contamination
  • Conduct finished product inspections to ensure product is released according to Food Safety & Quality requirements
  • Verification of chemical titration prior to each use
  • Ensure accuracy of labeling for finished products
  • Conduct on-line verification checks including but not limited to: Metal Detection, Oxygen Analysis, pH, and seal integrity
  • Escalate deviations immediately and assisting with product disposition as needed
  • Conducting Audits of Production Areas & Pre-requisite programs: Conduct continuous GMP inspections & corrections with proper documentation
  • Inspection of equipment & processing area to ensure sanitation & conditions are compliant with Food Safety & Quality standards
  • Enforce Food Defense protocol as needed
  • Other internal audits as needed
  • Perform daily, weekly, and/or monthly tasks as assigned by FSQA Superintendent and/or FSQA Supervisor including, but not limited to: GMP Audits, Metal Detection Verification, Environmental Monitoring Swabbing, Lab Equipment Calibrations, Chemical Titrations, Pre-Shipment Review, Hold Management, and Start of Line and Pre-Operational Inspections.
  • Hold team members and cross-functional partners accountable to Home Chef’s food safety expectations
  • Perform Food Safety record verifications including but not limited to: receiving, pre-operational, cook & chill, metal detection and Pre-Shipment Release.
  • Assist in training of new employees on Food Safety & Quality practices
  • Train, coach and empower Tempo Quality Techs and Sanitation associates
  • Promptly notifies leadership when Food Safety & Quality issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations arise
  • Placing product on FSQA hold and assisting with dispositions as required
  • Assist in non-competitive functions when needed: e.g. sweeping floors, moving product and safety investigations
  • Follow the facility GMP’s and help enforce them throughout the facility
  • Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs
  • Arrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedure
  • Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner
  • Treats co-workers with respect at all times
  • Uses teamwork with working with production throughout the day
  • Demonstrates ownership of tasks and job responsibilities on a consistent basis.
