The Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Clinic in the College of Law at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Remote) Part-time FRPP Fellow (Program Coordinator). Requirements

  • J.D. or LL.M. from ABA - accredited law school
  • A minimum of one (1) year of prior work experience with document review preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word and EXCEL Proficiency in Google platforms including Google Docs and Zoom.
  • Strong ability to multi-task multiple projects Ability to write effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with co-investigators of different disciplines Ability to supervise a team effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain proper attendance and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze legal documents and instruments primarily related to easements in the Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) of the United State Department of Agriculture.
  • Document findings in EXCEL and other reporting formats.
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports describing the Clinic's activities as to the FRPP program.
