Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification (required)
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams)
  • Comfortable learning and using scheduling systems and EMR platforms
  • Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients; maintain smooth patient flow
  • Answer and route phone calls professionally
  • Use scheduling systems to schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
  • Receive referrals and contact patients for scheduling needs
  • Verify patient identification and insurance coverage
  • Provide patients with visit information, required forms, and estimated charges
  • Collect and record copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and demographics
  • Process, scan, and organize documents and medical records
