About The Position

The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking a Supervisor to join our Slopeside Lounge team. In this role, you will help lead a dynamic team while ensuring excellent guest service and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include supervising team members, assisting with scheduling, addressing guest concerns, and supporting the training and development of new staff. The Supervisor will also work closely with management to maintain high service standards and a positive team environment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
6–12 months of supervisory or related experience required.
Basic skills in bartending, POS systems, and computers.
Strong attention to detail, time management, multitasking, and teamwork.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily operations including staffing levels, billing transactions, and inventory management.
Ensure the bar and lounge areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Work closely with culinary and other departments to plan and coordinate lounge operations.
Maintain awareness of safety procedures including accident prevention and fire safety.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and operational processes.
Supervise approximately 8–12 team members, including assigning work, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and addressing concerns.
Support team development by training new employees and providing guidance to current staff.
Assist with rearranging tables or lounge setup when needed.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
