About The Position

The Front of House Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by overseeing all front-of-house operations within the establishment. This position is responsible for managing staff, coordinating daily activities, and maintaining high standards of customer service and hospitality. The manager will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient service delivery. They will also handle guest concerns and feedback promptly to uphold the venue's reputation. Ultimately, the Front of House Manager ensures that every guest leaves with a positive impression, contributing to the business's overall success and growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations and customer service best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and scheduling software.
  • Certification in hospitality management or customer service.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations specific to the hospitality industry.
  • Bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
  • Previous experience managing budgets and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Manage scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
  • Oversee guest service standards, promptly addressing and resolving any customer issues or complaints.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery and service quality.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations within the front-of-house area.
  • Monitor inventory levels of front-of-house supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures to ensure a consistent guest experience.
  • Analyze customer feedback and operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
