  • Ability to supervise employees and make recommendations regarding hiring and discipline
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to maintain mental alertness to ensure safety and accuracy
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service by leading the store’s Front End operations
  • Supervise, schedule, and support Front End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Customer Service Clerks, Head Clerks, and Bookkeepers
  • Champion company customer service programs and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Oversee daily cash handling activities including tills, safe transactions, refunds, check approvals, and balancing
  • Monitor customer traffic, service levels, cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Front End
  • Train, coach, and assist with interviewing and hiring Front End team members
  • Manage labor, cash variation, supply expenses, and other budgeted goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and front‑end systems
