About The Position

We’re hiring a Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy dermatology office in Buford, GA. This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service, retail, or medical office experience who enjoys working with people and keeping things organized in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fridays: 8 AM - 4 PM) At Anne Arundel Dermatology , our front desk team is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering a smooth, positive experience from check-in to check-out. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a front desk, receptionist, medical office, or customer service role (preferred)
  • Experience with patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, or phones is a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical or customer-facing environment
  • Comfortable handling phones, scheduling, and patient interactions
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and documentation
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to support both front desk and clinical staff
  • Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing, bending, and reaching
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer, keyboard, and office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, and flow of the waiting room
  • Answer and route incoming calls, take messages, and assist with patient inquiries
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
  • Enter and update patient demographics, insurance, and chart information accurately in the system
  • Verify patient information, required forms, and signatures prior to visits
  • Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments
  • Assist with basic billing and insurance questions
  • Track patient flow and communicate delays or updates as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate patient charts and documentation
  • Process incoming faxes, reports, and interoffice communication
  • Support inventory tracking and supply ordering as needed
  • Complete end-of-day tasks including balancing payments and running reports
  • Assist clinical and administrative staff as needed
