About The Position

The Atrium, our independent living community at The Cedars, is seeking a dependable and flexible Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role includes a consistent weekend schedule, along with the ability to pick up additional shifts to support staffing needs. As the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for older adults.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of front desk or receptionist experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Flexible availability and willingness to pick up additional shifts on short notice
  • Interest in working with older adults and supporting their independence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
  • Provide administrative and clerical support
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Send and receive faxes
  • Photocopy and organize documents
  • Process payments for meals and salon services
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
  • Perform additional office duties as assigned
