The Per Diem Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for operating the telephone switchboard, routing calls, conveying messages, and providing authorized information to callers. This role also involves performing reception duties, greeting and directing visitors, and managing visitor sign-in/out procedures. Key responsibilities include maintaining a current patient listing, ensuring the confidentiality of patient and business information, and keeping the workstation neat and organized. The receptionist is expected to treat patients, their families, visitors, and staff with respect, courtesy, and compassion, and to demonstrate teamwork through a considerate, friendly, and constructive attitude, working openly and honestly with flexibility, support, and cooperation. Prerequisites include general computer knowledge, typing ability, efficient and pleasant communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure in busy environments.
