About The Position

The Receptionist/HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of more than 500 part‑time Event Staff and Security employees each year. This position blends front‑office professionalism with high‑volume, service‑oriented HR support.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Ability to obtain a TX DPS Private Security Bureau Level II Guard Card.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for working with people.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage tasks with urgency and independence.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working a flexible schedule
  • Excellent listening, communication, and phone etiquette skills.
  • Able to remain professional and focused under pressure while supporting both employees and guests.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic phone systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage and maintain essential office supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist visitors with a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Notify appropriate staff of guest arrivals and ensure visitors are directed efficiently.
  • Respond to inquiries or route them to the correct team member.
  • Maintain a secure environment by following established access procedures and monitoring the visitor log.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and aligned with company standards.
  • Document and communicate important updates, issues, or follow‑up needs to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support overall office workflow by assisting with tasks and projects as needed.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new part‑time Event Staff and Security employees, helping create a welcoming and supportive first impression.
  • Assist with general office coordination, contributing to the organization of tasks, projects, and personnel.
  • Maintain strong communication with 5 STAR supervisors, managers, and the corporate team to ensure alignment and consistency across departments.
  • Build positive relationships with employees, fostering a friendly, team‑oriented environment.
