Requirements

Medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
Fluency in Chinese required; Mandarin or Cantonese
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with scheduling software and basic computer applications.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and check them in promptly; verify ID, demographics, and insurance, and update information accurately in the RIS system.
Collect and process payments for services with accuracy.
Complete all required registration forms.
Scan required documents into the RIS system.
Coordinate with technologists regarding patient readiness and wait times.
Answer incoming calls promptly; provide information, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
Schedule appointments and provide exam preparation instructions.
Confirm appointments with patients and referring offices.
Verify insurance eligibility for scheduled and walk-in patients; ensure all insurance documentation is complete and accurate.
Fax reports and forward images upon request.
Provide Chinese translation support for patients and staff.
Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
Handle and protect PHI in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in cross-training and attend monthly staff meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
