Front Desk / Customer Service Representative – Valley Roofing & Exteriors (Harrisonburg, VA) Pay: $17–$21/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (standard business hours) This position is being advertised and screened by The HR Dept LLC on behalf of our client, Valley Roofing & Exteriors. We are seeking a Front Desk / Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our customers and play a key role in delivering a seamless, professional experience. Position Overview: Front Desk / Customer Service Representative As a Front Desk / Customer Service Representative , you will manage incoming calls, greet customers, coordinate schedules, and support daily office operations. This role is critical to ensuring excellent customer communication and efficient coordination between our sales and production teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, administrative, or front desk roles (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and customer service mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google G-Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Computer savvy; experience with CRM or scheduling software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally; route calls appropriately
  • Greet walk-in customers and create a welcoming office environment
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding services, scheduling, and general questions
  • Deliver a positive, solutions-oriented customer experience
  • Schedule appointments for estimates, service calls, and consultations
  • Coordinate calendars for sales and production teams
  • Confirm appointments and follow up with customers
  • Maintain accurate customer records and data entry in company systems
  • Assist with document preparation, filing, and office organization
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with job tracking updates and internal communication
  • Ensure timely communication between customers and team members
  • Support additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed
