About The Position

Effectively check guests into and out of the resort by performing the following duties. As a Front Desk Agent, you will: Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests. Issue room key and escort instructions to Bellhop. Date stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages. Transmit and receive telephone messages. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts. Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests. Make and confirm reservations. Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger. Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arranges for tours. Assist guests with deposit of guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box. Nightly bucket checks Able to listen and find solutions to guests problems

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required
  • Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, or using a point-of-sale system is helpful
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to eight (8) hours.
  • Comfortable using phones and basic computer systems

Nice To Haves

  • Additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus
