Position requires you to operate the front desk, assist guests with registration and checkout, and handle requests for rooms received by phone, e-mail, or customers at the desk. Youll be expected to provide information to guests concerning rates, availability of rooms, description of facilities and services, and information about area attractions and sight-seeing opportunities. Has complete working knowledge of software system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often Communicates with the Housekeeping Department regarding guest rooms and requests Receives money from guests for payment of hotel charges and makes correct change Handles checks and credit cards received from the guests for payment of hotel charges Knows all of the room rates Issues safety deposit boxes to guests when requested Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules This Job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
