About The Position

Now Hiring: This is a Human Services role supporting a Day Program serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Innovative Day is seeking a Front Desk Administrative Assistant/Office Coordinator to support daily administrative operations in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This position is ideal for someone with experience in administrative support, front desk operations, healthcare administration, human services, office coordination, customer service, scheduling, and documentation management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years administrative or front desk experience
  • 2+ years experience in human services, healthcare, or IDD
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must meet DC Department of Health (DOH) requirements
  • Background check and fingerprinting required
  • TB clearance as applicable
  • Support documentation, audits, and compliance tracking
  • Assist with staff credential tracking (CPR/First Aid, trainings)

  • Experience in day programs or healthcare settings
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Experience with compliance tracking and scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk support and greet visitors, staff, and families professionally
  • Perform administrative duties including filing, scheduling, scanning, and data entry
  • Maintain organized records, files, and documentation
  • Track attendance and participant records
  • Assist with intake and discharge paperwork
  • Monitor billing-related documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain staff files and credential tracking
  • Support calendar management and deadlines
  • Assist with office supplies and inventory
  • Communicate with families, providers, and team members
  • Support EHR documentation and compliance tasks
