Requirements

3+ years of Freight Broker Experience, preferably in third-party logistics
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to be self-motivated with a drive to succeed
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
Effective written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to work with technology efficiently

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
Build long-term partnerships by understanding customer supply chain needs and pain points.
Generate new opportunities and convert your existing business into new growth opportunities for the enterprise and personal compensation.
Effectively negotiate rates with carriers.
Interact courteously, promptly, and professionally with internal departments to satisfy customer issues and/or process exceptions to normal guidelines (including, but not limited to shipping, pricing, scheduling, credit, and accounting).
