About The Position

The FP&A Analyst will support the JMP finance team through financial planning, reporting, and analysis. The Financial Analyst will support financial and strategic analysis to report on key financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, help to ensure accurate and timely production of reports and forecasts, and assist in monitoring overall performance.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you hold an undergraduate university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields. CFA, CPA or other accounting designation is an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in FP&A in complex, international firms. In addition, the following are preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with impacted stakeholders
  • Strong capabilities in reporting and analysis are matched by strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable connecting and communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members for exceptional performance and contribution
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, bring options and provide recommendation
  • Solutions driven and self-starter, who understands the importance accuracy and timeliness make a difference and contribute to the success of the business.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty
  • Clear oral and written communication; adapts messages to diverse audiences; prepares reports, presentations, and training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Monthly reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports to senior management, offering insights into financial trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and regularly monitor budget adherence, identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Assist in month-end process; JE checks, loads, and analysis of base-level data.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and performance.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the company's financial stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, support process improvements & decision-making, and drive financial best practices across the organization.
  • AR & AP analysis; including collections, follow ups, and customer/vendor key-contact management.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned
