About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Fountain Worker to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service while displaying salesmanship and friendly hospitality skills. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Requirements

  • Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have working knowledge of point of sales systems.
  • Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
  • High School or GED or related degree preferred
  • Minimum six months previous food and cash handling experience required
  • Minimum age requirement is 21
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow employees and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and Health Department regulations.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner to take order for food and beverage items.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques.
  • Know all menu items.
  • Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
  • Responsible for obtaining, reconciling and returning cash bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Accurately input food and beverage orders into the Aloha system. Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
  • Rotate and date all product
  • Thank guests, present checks and settle checks according to established procedures.
  • Always invite guests back to the outlet.
  • Relay all guest compliments and complaints to the Manager on duty.
  • Inform Bus Person of needed supplies.
  • Keep work area stocked with needed supplies, keep work area neat, clean and organized.
  • Fill pastry display as needed.
  • Prepare all coffee products as needed.
  • Clean coffee and tea machines daily and as needed.
  • Assist Bus Person with cleaning tables, floors and emptying trash as needed.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.
  • Complete assigned side work.
  • Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
  • Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures.
