About The Position

You’ll join the founding team as our Sourcing Recruiter, taking full ownership of hiring deeply specialised technical talent in the AI space (from ML Engineers to Applied Researchers and beyond). This is a rare chance to directly shape the trajectory of the company by helping us hire the people who will build Symbolica’s core technology and future.
You’ll partner with the Talent Lead to design and run strategic searches that go far beyond traditional sourcing playbooks. You’ll spend most of your time sourcing exceptional passive talent as well as running full-cycle processes to help us move fast during high-growth periods.
📍 This is an onsite role based in our SF office (345 California St).

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including at least 1 year sourcing for AI/ML or other deeply technical roles
• Experience operating in fast-paced, early-stage environments with minimal structure
• Comfortable flexing between pure sourcing and 360 recruitment depending on hiring needs
• Proven track record of engaging passive talent through creative, multi-channel strategies
• Experience organising hiring events (meetups, hackathons, etc.)
• Strong command of sourcing platforms (Gem preferred), automation tools, X-ray search, etc.
• Excellent communication: you can pitch a compelling story to top-tier talent
• You love the hunt: curious, proactive, persistent, and obsessive about quality

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sourcing strategy and recruitment execution for highly specialised AI and technical roles
• Build and maintain long-term pipelines of world-class researchers, engineers, and hybrid profiles
• Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles
• Use advanced sourcing techniques, automation, and tooling to surface hard-to-find passive talent
• Identify and engage candidates through unconventional channels and niche communities (conferences, meet-ups, specialised networks)
• Design and continuously improve sourcing ops, workflows, and AI-driven automation
• Deliver a high-touch, thoughtful candidate experience from first outreach to close
