Founding Operations Lead

RockstarSan Francisco, CA
16h$110,000 - $130,000Onsite

About The Position

Rockstar is recruiting for a forward-thinking startup that is building the future of pediatric therapy. The client helps speech, occupational, and physical therapists build their own private practices. Their AI-powered "business-in-a-box" handles everything from business setup and insurance to marketing and software, so therapists can focus on what they do best: helping children. They are a small team in San Francisco backed by industry-leading investors who share their vision to reimagine the shape of pediatric care in the US. Role Overview They are hiring a Founding Operations Lead to work in-person, 5 days/week, in San Francisco as a member of the founding team. The office is currently in the Mission. This is not a 9-to-5 role. This is a chance to join an early-stage startup, work incredibly hard to build something massive, and get unmatched career growth and learning along the way. What they are building matters — to families, to therapists, and to the kids waiting for care. As the Founding Operations Lead, the candidate will be employee #1 and build & own the entire operations experience — primarily on the provider side (from provider outreach to onboarding to ongoing success) and increasingly on the patient side as the company scales. The candidate will be wearing several different hats: - Provider onboarding - Design, build, and own the end-to-end provider recruiting journey from initial outreach through signed agreement — what is said, shown, and done at each stage. - Build and continuously refine the onboarding process: from form completion, to back-office setup (LLC/business license/EIN), to brand/logo/website design. Learn how to do it manually and then automate these over time. - Develop a consistent outreach and follow-up cadence to engage prospective providers and keep them warm. - Work directly with providers to solve problems in real time and ensure a smooth, supportive onboarding experience. - Provider success - Serve as the trusted point of contact for the therapists — helping troubleshoot issues & answer questions. - Help providers build full caseloads, leaning in with extra support where needed to ensure every therapist is thriving. - Gather provider feedback to inform product improvements, onboarding changes, and new support materials. - Patient operations - Refine and optimize the patient-provider matching process ensuring the right balance of fit, strategy, and therapist capacity. - Build the CRM and tracking on patient leads, statuses, and outcomes. - Partner with the offshore ops team to help build better processes on patient intake, insurance billing, and patient FAQs.

Requirements

  • Have 2-10+ years of experience in early-stage startups, management consulting, investment banking, or a similar role.
  • Are scrappy and resourceful — you figure things out fast, make progress without perfect information, and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • Are a systems thinker — you notice patterns in messy workflows and instinctively look for ways to streamline and scale them.
  • Are deeply empathetic with strong EQ — you’re comfortable collaborating and empathizing with providers to help them succeed.
  • Take ownership — you’re comfortable being proactive, taking ownership, and prioritizing progress over perfection.
  • Feel comfortable with ambiguity — you thrive when things aren’t fully defined and you can shape what’s next.
  • Are energized by a fast-moving environment — you can juggle multiple priorities, set your own pace, and don’t wait to be told what to do.
