Founding Head of Agency - US

The Cruise Globe
2d$110,000 - $130,000Remote

About The Position

The Cruise Globe launched in 2025 as the world's first cruise tracking and discovery app, showing the exact historical routes and stats of your cruises. The app has already grown organically to over 130,000 active users with zero marketing spend. It was co-founded by the creator of Emma Cruises, one of the most trusted voices in cruise globally, with over 425,000 YouTube subscribers and a community of hundreds of thousands of passionate cruise fans. Our goal is simple: to build the number one cruise app in the world. We are now launching The Cruise Globe Agency, our own cruise and travel agency, backed by Global Travel Collection within Internova Travel Group from day one. Our overall audience is 70% US-based, and consists of exactly the kind of high-intent, cruise-passionate people that every great advisor wants to work with. They already trust the brand. They are already asking where to book. This agency exists to serve them, and to do it better than anyone else in the market. This is a founding role. You will not be joining an existing agency team, you will be building the US agency from scratch, with the full backing of an established platform, a deeply engaged audience, and one of the world's leading host networks behind you. In the early weeks you will design the operation: intake processes, service standards, and workflows. From launch, your time goes on what you do best, closing bookings, owning client relationships, and setting the quality benchmark for everything the US agency does. This is not a role with a clean brief and a perfect structure waiting for you. The right person will find that genuinely exciting. You will help build the playbook, not just follow one. We are looking for someone who has become genuinely exceptional at selling cruise, recognised by their clients, their peers, and the industry. Someone who has hit the ceiling of what they can achieve in their current setup and is ready for something with real scale, real backing, and real upside.

Requirements

  • A proven personal cruise GMV track record of $5M+ annually, with strong repeat bookings and client retention
  • Deep cruise product knowledge across mainstream, premium, and luxury lines. You sell across the full spectrum with confidence, from Royal Caribbean and Carnival through to Silversea and Seabourn
  • Exceptional client relationship skills. Clients talk about you by name, you generate referrals organically, and your repeat booking rate reflects it
  • Experience with group cruise programs. You understand the commercial mechanics, have negotiated group contracts, and have delivered for groups before
  • The commercial instinct to naturally spot upsell moments, think in yield terms, and understand the economics of what you're selling
  • A builder mentality. You've started something, rebuilt something, or scaled something beyond just maintaining a client book
  • Genuine resilience and self-motivation. You perform without needing close management, external validation, or a structured office environment
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity. This role involves building processes that don't exist yet, and the right person finds that energising rather than unsettling
  • Data and reporting literacy. You own your numbers, track conversion, and make decisions based on what the data is telling you
  • Crisis experience. You've handled things going wrong, stayed calm, communicated clearly, and protected the client relationship
  • GDS experience, Sabre or equivalent. You understand how it works and can manage an offshore team that relies on it
  • Genuine openness to AI-assisted workflows that remove friction and free up time for the high-value human interactions that define great advisory work

Nice To Haves

  • Already operate within GTC, TLN, or the wider Internova network
  • Have an existing personal brand or social presence in the cruise space
  • Are well-connected in the US cruise industry, CLIA events, cruise line BDMs, trade press
  • Have personally sailed extensively and bring that first-hand knowledge to client conversations

Responsibilities

  • Design and document the US agency's intake process, service standards, and operational workflows
  • Brief, onboard, and establish working rhythms with the support team
  • Ensure the operation is fully ready to convert lead volume from day one
  • Personally handle and close high-value inbound bookings from the TCG and Emma Cruises audience
  • Own the full client relationship, from first contact through to post-trip follow-up and rebooking
  • Build and lead TCG's US group cruise program, identifying group opportunities, negotiating group contracts, and managing the group booking pipeline
  • Set and maintain the quality and service benchmark for everything the US agency does
  • Manage the support team day-to-day, intake, qualification, administration, and handoff
  • Own all crisis handling for bookings made personally and by the wider US team
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop additional US-based advisors as lead volume demands
  • Manage the operational relationship with GTC and Internova as the primary host network
  • Work alongside Emma on cruise content. Emma's audience is predominantly US-based, making this collaboration central to commercial performance from day one
  • Co-lead an annual US group cruise event with Emma and the TCG founders, a flagship GMV and brand moment
  • Build your own public profile as a trusted voice in US cruise
  • Own our Trustpilot presence and visible US reputation
  • Own all decisions around how you sell, which products and cruise lines you prioritise, and how client relationships are structured
  • Escalate decisions touching brand, technology, or significant spend to the CEO
  • Track and report on your own pipeline, conversion data, and GMV performance
  • Grow agency-wide GMV. Your commission structure means team growth is directly in your financial interest

Benefits

  • Base salary: $110,000 to $130,000, reflecting the seniority and founding nature of this role.
  • Personal commission: uncapped - the more you close, the more you earn. $200k OTE is realistic in year 1 from personal production.
  • Agency commission: uncapped, a percentage of all US agency-wide bookings not personally closed by you. Your earnings grow as your team grows.
  • Equity: a significant equity package - you share in the long-term value you help create
  • Health insurance
  • 401k with 3% employer match
  • 20 days PTO inclusive of sick leave, plus all major federal holidays
  • Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the US.
  • Full access to industry familiarisation trips, ship inspections, and cruise line events, the majority of which are fully hosted.
  • Laptop, phone, and all tooling to operate at your best.
