About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a fast-growing software development startup to identify a seasoned and skilled Founding Growth Marketer to help build the company's growth engine from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true founding role—owning demand generation, experimentation, and brand momentum at a critical stage of the company's journey. This role is designed for a marketer who wants real ownership, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited to test, learn, and scale what works. Candidates must meet the core experience requirements below to be considered for interview. As the Founding Growth Marketer, you will be responsible for shaping how the company attracts, engages, and converts its earliest customers. You'll work closely with the CEO to define messaging and positioning while running hands-on growth experiments across inbound, social, events, and emerging channels—including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) . This is not a maintenance role. You'll be building systems, not inheriting them—and over time, this role offers a clear path to expanded ownership and leadership as the company scales. Requirements

  • 1+ years of demand generation or marketing experience at a Series A–C startup
  • Hands-on experience executing campaigns, not just planning strategy
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with limited structure
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design, run, and evaluate experiments
  • Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco (remote considered only for exceptional candidates)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior marketing experience at MarTech companies or marketing directly to marketers
  • Demonstrated decision to leave Big Tech for a startup , signaling commitment to early-stage environments
  • Strong design sensibility and creative taste
  • Experience managing or growing social media audiences
  • Experience hosting or organizing in-person events
  • Personal website, blog, or independent marketing content that demonstrates passion for the craft
  • Curiosity about emerging growth channels, including GEO and AI-driven discovery

Responsibilities

  • Drive inbound demand and lead generation across multiple channels
  • Build and grow the company's presence on platforms such as LinkedIn and X (YouTube experience is a plus)
  • Design and execute growth experiments to identify scalable acquisition channels
  • Own early funnel metrics, learning loops, and performance tracking
  • Plan and host in-person events (approximately one per month) to build brand presence and pipeline
  • Partner closely with the CEO to refine messaging, positioning, and overall growth strategy
  • Continuously test new ideas, tools, and tactics to accelerate traction in an early-stage environment
