About The Position

Alloy Personal Training is hiring a Founding General Manager for our BRAND NEW Algonquin studio. This is the first of six planned studios in the region, creating immediate advancement opportunities into multi-unit and regional fitness leadership. This is an ideal role for a proven fitness sales manager, boutique fitness leader, studio manager, or general manager who thrives in membership sales, team leadership, personal training operations, and community growth. This Founding General Manager position offers the rare opportunity to launch a new boutique fitness studio from the ground up. This leader may also coach 5–10 hours per week of small-group personal training sessions, keeping you directly connected to the client experience while leading the studio’s overall business performance. This role is perfect for candidates coming from Orangetheory, F45, StretchLab, Club Pilates, Life Time, Equinox, boutique fitness, luxury health clubs, or high-end gym management environments. With 300+ studios nationwide, Alloy Personal Training has been a leader in premium personal training systems since 1992. Our proven model focuses on coaching, accountability, strength training, and measurable client outcomes for adults seeking sustainable results. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of fitness management, studio management, or gym leadership experience
  • Strong personal training sales, membership sales, and retention experience
  • Experience leading 2+ trainers, coaches, or sales associates
  • Strong consultative selling and objection-handling skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational ability
  • Business, payroll, staffing, and HR management confidence
  • Available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts as needed
  • Passion for health, fitness, and helping clients change their lives

  • Presale, grand opening, or new studio launch experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all presale and ongoing membership sales efforts
  • Drive lead conversion, appointment setting, consultations, and close ratios
  • Build the studio to 150+ active members
  • Execute retention strategies that maximize client lifetime value
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and retain a high-performing personal training team
  • Lead weekly sales meetings and trainer development sessions
  • Manage studio scheduling, payroll targets, and daily operations
  • Develop local business partnerships and community networking channels
  • Deliver premium consultations including InBody scans, goal reviews, and relationship-based accountability
  • Maintain high standards of member experience, studio culture, and operational execution
  • Partner directly with franchise ownership on KPIs, revenue, staffing, and expansion opportunities
  • Solve challenges proactively to protect member retention and studio performance
