About The Position
As the first engineering hire at Kip, you will build the "Personal CFO" for younger generations. You will architect AI-native systems that automate complex wealth management, from tax optimization engines to life-event simulators. Working directly with a Stanford/IIT-educated CTO, you will transform fragmented financial data into actionable, hyper-personalized wealth-building moves. Join as the first engineering hire with direct influence over the technical architecture, product direction, and founding culture of a mission-driven fintech. Work alongside founders with elite backgrounds from Stanford, IIT, Snowflake, and Cisco who have shipped AI products to millions of global users. Build sophisticated AI agents and simulation engines that solve the generational wealth gap, backed by a recently closed first round of funding.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience building and debugging production-grade systems with a proven track record of shipping software from scratch to users.
- Native fluency in AI-first workflows, utilizing LLMs to accelerate development and building products where AI is the core engine, not an add-on.
- Strong systems thinker with an ownership mentality who is comfortable navigating the ambiguity and fast-paced environment of an early-stage startup.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, SOC 2-compliant data pipelines that aggregate and structure complex financial documents using bank-grade encryption.
- Build a high-fidelity life event simulator and tax optimization engine that models hundreds of financial scenarios to deliver hyper-personalized strategies.
- Develop and deploy autonomous AI agents that monitor financial goals in the background and execute proactive wealth-building moves for users.
