About The Position

Noto is building the AI native operating system for after school businesses like tutoring centers, music schools, and sports academies. Our mission is to power the 150K after-school businesses across the U.S. with a unified platform that replaces spreadsheets and outdated tools. We recently raised a $3.8 M seed from Base10 Partners and South Park Commons. Founded by two technical founders — AJ Ding (CEO) and Steve Wang (CTO) — we’re based in NYC and assembling a small, exceptional team of builders who care deeply about craft, users, and impact. Join us to build software that empowers small-business owners in local communities! We’re hiring a Founding BizOps Lead who will partner directly with our CEO (AJ) to build the operational backbone that powers Noto’s next phase of growth. This is a critical role, as operations will shape how we scale, deliver for customers, and maintain speed as the team grows. You’ll design processes from first principles, solve cross-functional bottlenecks, and create the systems that enable Noto to move from a scrappy startup to an industry-defining company.

Requirements

• Comfortable owning and leading complex, cross-functional projects from idea to execution.
• Hungry for growth and impact — you want outsized responsibility, fast learning cycles, and a role where your work shapes the company’s trajectory.
• Thrives in ambiguity and can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to undefined problems.
• Deeply motivated by helping small businesses succeed and energized by spending time with users.
• 2+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, BizOps, Chief of Staff roles, or other analytical/operational functions.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills — comfortable with data, process design, dashboards, and operational tooling (Notion, HubSpot, SQL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Drive operational execution — build and manage company-wide processes, run planning cadences, ensure teams stay aligned, and keep our priorities moving with speed and clarity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally — partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and GTM to surface insights, streamline workflows, and strengthen how information flows across the company.
• Build with ownership — take on ambiguous, high-impact projects end-to-end: from diagnosing bottlenecks to designing solutions to implementing and measuring results.
• Shape company strategy & systems — develop the operating models, dashboards, rituals, and decision frameworks that will support Noto’s next three years of growth.
• Unblock and empower the team — act as a first-line problem solver for operational, analytical, and strategic questions, helping teams move faster and make better decisions.
