Rogo is looking for customer-focused platform engineers to build effective custom solutions and tools that leverage Rogo APIs to solve real customer problems. As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will work with our customers and other Rogo Engineers to design and implement scalable solutions that solve their most difficult problems. You will design abstractions to solve customer problems, and then use them to scale our speed and quality of delivery across all Forward Deployed engagements. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers to deploy Rogo’s specialized AI infrastructure.. You will also work with our Research and Product teams to provide insightful customer feedback. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and monitoring tools, with a focus on rapid deployment and customization of our Kubernetes-based applications across various environments.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in customer-facing roles at a product-driven technology company.
• Proven experience building and shipping production-grade backend services in languages like Java, Go, or Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure infrastructure in a major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Practical experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor by embedding with strategic customers to deeply understand their business challenges, workflows, and technical requirements.
• Architect and develop scalable, data-intensive applications and robust abstractions that solve customer-specific issues and can be scaled across our entire customer base.
• Liaise between the customer and core engineering teams to facilitate the build-out of customer-specific solutions.
• Own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle for customer Rogo deployments, from initial provisioning and configuration to production optimization.
• Occasionally flex into maintaining Terraform modules, Helm charts, and automation scripts to deploy and manage bespoke Rogo Kubernetes clusters that adhere to each customer's unique security and compliance requirements.
• Act as the voice of the customer to our core engineering and research teams, shaping the product roadmap by championing features and abstractions that solve critical real-world problems.
• Partner with Sales during the late stages of the sales cycle to lead technical validation and architect proofs-of-concept for strategic prospects.
• Collaborate closely with Solutions Architects and Customer Success Managers to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales and long-term customer value.
