About The Position

Engineering Intern

Requirements

• 2 years of undergraduate studies working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in process engineering preferred
• Experience in the automotive/manufacturing industry preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and practices preferred 
• Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Validate current manufacturing processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and communicate and conduct training on improvements
• Analyze best practices and develop manufacturing processes to achieve plant objectives through problem-solving
• Manage systems and process controls, documentation of projects and standard work instructions, and area tools and equipment
• Assist engineering team in other various operations productivity improvement or special projects
• Assist engineering team in processing, quoting, implementing, launching, and maintaining engineering changes, collaborate with other areas, and provide shop floor support
• Recommend fixture and process designs, and assist engineering and quality team in customer corrective Actions
• Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department change
