About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The operator will be responsible for setting up the progressive die nut formers and making sure the progressions will maintain the characteristics to stay in the specification and prolong the tool life to the max. An operator will be required to remove and set up all tools in the machine within a certain amount of time. The operator must have more than the basic knowledge of how the machine functions. This position requires that regular quality checks be performed visually and with Q.C. instruments. The operator will lead and help supervisors keep attendants at machines to increase production and the utilization of the department. The operator must communicate with engineering and tool prep personnel to improve current and future tooling orders to increase run time on machines and reducing tool costs. The operator will utilize advanced methods and understand the SK units and how they benefit the production run and protect the equipment. The operator will carefully review, analyze and document the status of progressions and make modifications as he/she sees necessary. High school diploma or equivalent Additional industrial/manufacturing courses are a plus Basic forming principles Cold forming experience Must gain in depth experience from working with current operators Must have experience working in high volume manufacturing operation Fluent in reading blueprints Skilled with measurement instruments Must be able to work in a fast paced environment Must be able to stay organized, document and communicate pertinent information. Majority of work performed in industrial manufacturing area. Works evening and weekend hours as needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Travel No travel is necessary.
