About The Position

Under the direction of the Shipping & Receiving Manager and/or Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for assisting with the production, shipping and receiving areas as related to products. Key Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years Forklift experience preferred.
• MS Office Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities .
• Attention to detail and strong data entry skills are necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers in English verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with safety checks of forklifts.
• Follow forklift safety protocol.
• Follow SOPs regarding trailer temps, place airlock, seals, Bills of Lading, and trailer and product conditions.
• Unload and load truck efficiently and safely
• Works with operations to ensure products are in the appropriate locations for production/assembly.
• Assigns loads to various pallets.
• Records and corrects on shipping and receiving logs.
• Works as a team player to ensure APC is meeting the business demands of our customers.
• Other duties as assigned by APC.
