About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to support our warehouse and production operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating equipment, managing inventory movement, and ensuring efficient material handling across the facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining workflow, accuracy, and safety within the operation.

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you will oversee the movement of materials throughout the warehouse or production environment, supporting daily operations such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will help ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain equipment, and contribute to an organized and efficient workspace.
This role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous forklift operating experience required
• Clean driving record with the ability to operate equipment safely
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Dependability and accountability in completing tasks accurately and on time
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to follow instructions and complete documentation accurately
• Work is performed in a warehouse, production facility, or chilled environment
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift materials
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
• Exposure to cold or warm temperatures depending on work area
• Frequent use of hands to handle, move, and operate equipment

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) preferred
• Experience with inventory systems or scan guns preferred
• Experience in a food manufacturing or chilled environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach lifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials
• Transport raw materials, inventory, or finished goods to designated areas or workstations
• Read work orders or follow instructions to determine material handling needs
• Inspect equipment before use and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
• Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe working condition
• Stack, organize, and store inventory in proper locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy by labeling, tagging, and rotating stock as required
• Identify damaged goods, shortages, or quality issues and report accordingly
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of warehouse, including waste disposal
• Observe equipment operation and assist with basic troubleshooting when needed
• Support warehouse operations and perform additional duties as assigned by management
