About The Position
This position is for a Forklift Driver responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, inspection, and other warehouse-related duties. The role ensures all products are accurately pulled and over-packed correctly to customer expectations. Requirements
- Ability to safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
- Ability to complete daily forklift inspection sheet prior to operation of forklift.
- Ability to load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
- Ability to sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments.
- Ability to accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity.
- Ability to placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork.
- Ability to over-box, wrap, and strap pallets in preparation for shipment.
- Ability to perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock.
- Ability to keep shipping supplies organized and communicate on supply needs.
