About The Position
DSV, founded in 1976, is the world's 3rd largest supplier of global solutions within transport and logistics, operating in more than 80 countries. The company adds value to customers' entire supply chain by transporting, storing, packaging, re-packaging, processing and clearing all types of goods. The Forklift Driver is responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, inspection and other warehouse related duties. This role ensures all products are accurately pulled and over-packed correctly to customer expectations.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
- Ability to complete daily forklift inspection sheet prior to operation of forklift
- Ability to accurately pull orders, prep for outbound shipment, load and unload freight
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
- Complete daily forklift inspection sheet prior to operation of forklift
- Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
- Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments
- Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity
- Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork
- Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment
- Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock
- Keep shipping supplies organized and communicate on supply needs
- Complete other duties or tasks as assigned
