About The Position

Manage certification programs and ensure compliance with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management, Fiber Sourcing and Chain of Custody, as well as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody standards for both Sierra Pacific Industries and SPI Windows Division Manage and coordinate a successful safety program for our Forestry team Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate effectiveness of sustainability and safety initiatives, programs, and projects Effectively collaborate with various departments to integrate best sustainability and safety practices Conduct sustainability and safety assessments and audits to promote environmental awareness and education within the organization Organize and coordinate related projects, events, and activities Stay updated on latest sustainability and safety trends and best practices and provide engaging training both within and outside the Company Advocate for sustainability while developing solid partnerships within both the Company and the community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Forestry or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sustainability-related role
  • Demonstrated understanding of environmental issues, sustainable practices and safety programs with the ability to work collaboratively with various partners to achieve desired outcomes
  • Excellent project management and data analysis skills, while using critical thinking to effectively solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively promote sustainability and safety initiatives
  • Proficiency in written communication skills and attention to details
  • Extensive travel required at times
