About The Position

The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for s easonal part-time and full-time temporary Forestry positions in the Public Works Department. Seasonal Forestry Maintenance ($16.00-$18.00) Help keep our community clean while enjoying the great outdoors! Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, some weekends may be required. Assist forestry staff with daily maintenance tasks including; residential brush pick-up and chipping, planting and watering trees, tree removal, and tree pruning. Will be expected to work in other maintenance areas as directed. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to operate pickup, one-tons, and a variety of other equipment. Approximately mid-April to November. Seasonal Forestry Chipping Operator ($17.50-$19.50) Performs various forestry duties specifically brush chipping operations for the curbside brush pickup service. Assist forestry staff and other divisions with maintenance tasks when directed. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to operate pickups, large trucks, trailers and a variety of other equipment. Work hours 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday through Friday from approximately April up to November, some weekends may be required.
