Food Services Associate I - Material Handler - Methodist Hospital
About The Position
This position is full-time with rotating shifts. Team member will work some days from 7:30am until 3:30pm and other days the hours are 12:30pm until 9:00pm. Team member will be required to work rotating weekends and holidays. Location: University Hospital Position Summary: Team member will be primarily unloading the food service deliveries, stocking the deliveries, and pulling forklifts. Team member will be lifting up to 50lb boxes and deliveries during the course of their shift. Prior material handling experience is highly preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
- No experience is required.
- Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
- Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
- Requires the ability to climb ladders.
- Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Prior material handling experience is highly preferred.
- Prior food service experience is preferred.
