Join Our Team as a Mess Attendant! Want to be part of a team that supports those who serve? CW Resources is looking for reliable, hardworking Mess Attendants. No food service experience needed-we'll train you! A Day in the Life of a Mess Attendant/Food Service Worker at CW Resources: Start the day by cleaning dishes using large commercial dishwashing machines. Heavily soiled pots and pans are scrubbed by hand to get them spotless. Sort dirty dishes from different service areas, give them a quick rinse, and load them properly into the machine, following all health and safety rules. Clean dishes are sanitized and put away in their proper spots, ready for the next meal. Keep work areas clean-sweep and mop the floors, wipe down surfaces, and clear away any food scraps to maintain a safe and tidy kitchen. Take out the trash and recyclables from dining, kitchen, and dishwashing zones. Replace trash liners and follow proper disposal rules. Reset the dining area between meals-wipe down tables, refill condiments, stock napkins, and make sure everything looks clean and welcoming. Help with food service setup-stock utensils, trays, and kitchen supplies. Set up the tray line when needed. Follow instructions from the supervisor to ensure all kitchen and dining areas meet safety and cleanliness standards. Wear protective gear like gloves, aprons, and slip-resistant shoes to stay safe while working. Work closely with the team, especially during busy meal times, to make sure everything flows smoothly. Wrap up your shift by finishing all cleaning tasks, putting away supplies, checking out with your supervisor, and leaving the area neat and ready for the next team.
