About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for McGregor, a continuing care retirement community situated on a picturesque 45-acre estate, overlooking downtown Cleveland near Cleveland Heights in Cleveland, Ohio. The Food Service Manager will oversee the kitchen operations for this community and enjoy training and mentoring cooks. A culinary background with knowledge of special diets is plus. This is a great opportunity to grow your food service knowledge at this facility and grow your career with Sodexo. This position offers a great schedule with typical shift being 8:00am - 4:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. What You'll Do have oversight of daily food service operations for approximately 170 skilled care and assisted living residents (dining room service, tray service, and small bistro); deliver high quality food service; achieve company and client financial targets and goals; develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships; create a positive environment; and ensure Sodexo Standards are met. Requirements

culinary experience with knowledge of special diets
prior institutional food service experience in corrections, schools, hospitals or senior living
excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies
strong management skills
catering experience
a strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory
the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team
proficient computer skills as well as exceptional organizational skills
ServSafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or EquivalentMinimum Management Experience - 1 year
