About The Position

The Food Service Expo works cooperatively with servers and staff to ensure
kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner. The Food Service Expo checks
orders for accuracy and serves as the liaison between kitchen staff, servers,
and customers.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Must complete ServSafe program.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends with flexibility for special events.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
• Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Communicates orders and information between the front of the house and back of the house and ensures that food is cooked in the right order and quickly. Ensures all orders for a table are ready at the same time.
• Checks orders for accuracy and communicates with kitchen staff to ensure any special orders are meet.
• Ensures servers are running food to tables in a timely manner once the food is ready.
• Maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
• Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
• Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
