About The Position
The position will work at Memorial Union’s Peet’s Coffee and Badger Market assisting with the daily operations including preparing and serving beverages, operating the register, stocking merchandise/food/beverages and maintaining inventory levels. The role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Excellent customer service skills are essential to create a friendly and positive experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities
- Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
- Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers
- Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
- Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
- Assists and guides student workers
Benefits
- Additional $2.50 per hour for night hours worked (6pm-6am)
- Additional $0.80 per hour for weekend hours worked
- Time and a half per hour for hours worked on designated legal holidays
