About The Position

Food Server takes food and/or beverage orders and serves customers in a pleasant and timely manner, according to Company standards; and to perform job responsibilities satisfactorily and to according to department standards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters team work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age,
  • 1 year of hotel server experience
  • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other associates.
  • Valid Clark County Health Card
  • Valid Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain guest focus while performing duties
  • Organizes, cleans and maintains beverage station, side stations and proper storage areas and all supplies that support daily duties.
  • Take food and/or beverage orders from dining guest
  • Serve food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Company’s standards.
  • Depending on the food outlet, may record food and drink orders accurately into the micros system to present to the guest for payment.
  • Answer all questions about menu or the Buffet line
  • Checks all food and beverage orders prior to serving to the guest.
  • Request identification when in question of guest age when ordering alcoholic drinks
  • Follow directions and ask questions for clarification
  • Perform side work, restock supplies as needed to service the guest throughout work shift
  • Associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
