About The Position

Assists the Food & Beverage team members to create a continuous flow of service for members and guests.

Requirements

  • Must have customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to members and guests.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the host staff to clean and turnover tables efficiently.
  • Ensures that all glassware, silverware, china and linen are clean, polished and organized.
  • Ensures that there is a sufficient supply of setups for the shift.
  • Clears tables of dishes, glasses, silverware, food and other items.
  • Resets tables in accordance with Club procedures.
  • Fills water glasses at the time diners are seated, delivers bread and butter and refills non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Completes all opening, closing and running side work.
  • Leaves work area clean, organized and stocked for the next shift.
  • Transports soiled linen to the laundry.
  • Vacuums floors and ensures that there is no debris on the floor.
  • Assists service staff to ensure members/guests have an excellent dining experience; which also includes running food items to tables.
  • Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor and grooming standards to reflect a positive image of Wycliffe Golf & Country Club.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager and Dining Room Managers.
