The Food Security Coordinator assures the equitable distribution of services and mission-related food programs across Dane, Jefferson, and Waukesha Counties. This role plays a vital part in connecting community partners and individuals to healthy food by working across the CAC network and promoting and implementing effective food service programs such as gleaning, senior boxes, and other initiatives. The Food Security Coordinator actively engages with communities to ensure individuals and partners are meaningfully connected to available resources, while identifying gaps in service and opportunities for expanded impact. This includes leveraging and strengthening partnerships, building new collaborative relationships, and ensuring community members are plugged into a broader network of support. The Coordinator maintains accurate records of inventory, product movement, community partnerships, and operations. Furthermore, they serve as an ambassador for CAC by developing and sustaining positive, collaborative relationships with community pantries and partners.
