About The Position

Assist F&B management in preparing all event/catering documentation and coordinates with Sales, property departments and customer to ensure consistent, best possible quality service throughout pre-event, during-event and post-event phases of all events.  Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Assist F&B management in daily operation duties such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating coaching colleagues.  Assist F&B Management in monitoring service and office supplies inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available. Monitor equipment for proper use and maintenance. Address customer requests and complaints. Address and report any workplace hazards or injuries/illnesses. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by F&B Management. Advice managers on daily staffing recommendations and make schedules if necessary. Communicate management goals and ensure compliance of policies and procedures. Complete safety training and certifications.     Financial Complete opening and closing procedures and duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor and ensure proper use of food service supplies. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings. Visually inspect all operational equipment, tools and machines and report any irregularities or defects.   Guest Experience Provide warm welcome and acknowledge all guests and anticipate and address guests’ needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure to speak with others using clear and professional language. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Enhance guest experience by responding timely to guest requests. Respond timely and appropriately to guest request and complaints. Oversee guest’s experiences from file turnover through the post event phase until turnover back to sales. Follow up with guest post-event. Assist F&B management in conducting formal pre- and post-event meetings as required to review / communicate group needs and feedback. Assist F&B management in facilitating various meetings as he/she perceives necessary. Assist in the sales process and revenue forecasting for guest groups Consult with managers to identify and realize optimal service delivery standards. Ensure compliance of procurement and disposal rules and regulations. Complete work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO (First In, First Out) and keep all area clean.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required
  • At least 1 year of continuous experience supervising Food & Beverage operations at a full-service hotel.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, analytical, motivating, and training abilities are often used when assessing food service delivery and coordinating functions.
  • Basic math skills, reading, and writing are used when completing paperwork, sales reconciliations, and other reports.
  • Must be able to obtain a government-issued Food Handler’s Certification.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
