This role is responsible for upholding the highest service standards by ensuring efficient food delivery, maintaining tables, and keeping the dining room clean. The position supports front-of-house service and guest satisfaction through prompt, professional, and attentive service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a food runner or busser role, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weight
  • Must have or obtain valid Food Handler’s and TABC certifications upon hire
  • Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of food safety, guest service standards, and basic food allergies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional service to all guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately and in a timely manner using table and seat numbers
  • Communicate effectively with guests, servers, and kitchen staff
  • Maintain full knowledge of the menu, including the ability to explain dishes when serving
  • Bus and reset tables quickly with clean linens, china, silverware, and glassware
  • Assist servers by refilling beverages and attending to guest needs
  • Set up and break down dining areas, side stations, and service areas
  • Stock supplies, maintain ice levels, and ensure stations are fully prepared
  • Ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are followed, including proper use of gloves
  • Clean and maintain service equipment, trays, dishware, and beverage stations
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned stations and dining areas
  • Transport food from the kitchen to dining areas and ensure expo items are properly handled
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant operations and resort property (if applicable)
  • Follow attendance, punctuality, grooming, and uniform standards
  • Complete all assigned side work before clocking out
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
