About The Position

Your Impact The Plant Manager oversees and ensures the successful execution of Ian's Anywhere Frozen Pizza and supports the operation of a small retail shop attached to the production facility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing a food production plant.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, manufacturing, or other related field OR an additional 2 years of experience in food production leadership.
  • 2-4 years managing people in a production environment.
  • Experience with production scheduling is required.
  • Experience working on the production line (not just supervising from afar)
  • Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and facility management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQF.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Familiarity with automated production lines.
  • Experience in a small plant or startup facility.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and manages daily production to meet demand targets.
  • Jumps in at any point in the production process to keep things moving forward or solve problems.
  • Manages material inventory, ensuring sufficient raw product to fulfill orders.
  • Ensures efficient use of labor and equipment and adjusts based on staffing, equipment, or supply constraints.
  • Works closely with our partner distributors for timely and accurate pick-ups.
  • Continuously improves processes and procedures, both new and existing.
  • Draft regulatory documents for the State, FDA, and USDA in collaboration with the corporate office.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, and other food safety and quality programs.
  • Sets and manages safety standards based on local and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Trains and enforces these standards with staff.
  • Maintains appropriate certifications and documentation for audits, recalls, and inspections.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues quickly.
  • Oversee audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manages all staffing plans, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
  • Collaborates with the recruitment team to define staffing needs and evaluate job candidates.
  • Schedules, trains and supervises all staff to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Provides staff feedback on their performance in regular, in-the-moment coaching conversations as well as regular staff reviews.
  • Creates and implements budget for production and retail.
