Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Food Operations Manager to oversee the dining operations serving our 140-bed healthcare unit at Williamsburg Landing, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Williamsburg, Virginia, near the scenic coastal region of southeastern Virginia. The Operations Manager ensures high-quality foodservice delivery, strong team leadership, alignment with Sodexo standards, and close partnership with the clinical team and Registered Dietitian to support health, safety, and nutritional compliance. Typical shift is 9:30am - 6:30pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. Bring your passion for hospitality to a team that values excellence, community, and care. What You'll Do oversee front of house operations for the main healthcare dining room and tray to room service; manage meal tickets and ensures timeliness of delivery; train and mentor a front-of-house team of approximately 25 staff members; deliver high quality food services for resident satisfaction; develop and maintain client and customer relationships; ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and guests; ensure Sodexo standards are met. What You Bring a dietary manager certification (CDM) is required or must be willing to obtain within one year of hire; a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills, as well as previous healthcare experience / dietary knowledge; the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; the ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team; the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
