About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Food Operations Manager to join our dining services team at Carlyle Place in Macon, Georgia. This upscale Life Plan Community sits on a beautifully landscaped 58‑acre campus just minutes from downtown. We’re looking for a hospitality-driven professional with strong front-of-house leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and training staff. A background in a country club or fine dining setting is highly preferred. Typical shift is 10:30am - 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage and some holidays. Requirements

  • a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills, as well as previous restaurant management / catering experience;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • the ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team;
  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in a country club or fine dining setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • manage the bistro, pub and on-site catering operations;
  • manage catering billing and coordinate event logistics to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction;
  • manage a front-of-house team of approximately 20 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism;
  • deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and resident dining operations;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests;
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met.
