ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Drives vehicle safely according to YMCA policies, procedures, and state laws. Loads and unloads food for food deliveries Assist in assembling food kits for food program when needed. Assist in unloading vendor delivery trucks when needed. Maintains vehicle in orderly and clean fashion. Completes thorough checks before and after every trip, recording all information. Records gas level, mileage, and maintenance on designated forms. Cleans vehicle out each day after last use. Promotes safety at all times, keeping first aid supplies fully stocked. Develops friendly and positive relationship among staff, volunteers, parents, and children. Communicates regularly with other staff and supervisor. Assists the Food Service Manager with receiving and storing food in accordance with Program guidelines. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements

• Position requires a clear criminal background check to include clean MVR(Motor Vehicle report)
• Must be 25 years of age.
• High School Diploma or sati sfactory completion of the GED.
• Certifications required within 60 days of hire: CPR/AED, BBP, and First Aid
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
• Employee must be able to lift over 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Twisting, standing, lifting and sitting during long route deliveries is required.
• Physically perform all skills required of a driver.
• Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer CDL with School Bus endorsement
• One to three years' previous experience in cafeteria setting preferred.
