About The Position

The Summer Food Program Coordinator leads the planning and daily operations of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) across ~45 sites in Georgia and South Carolina. This role ensures compliance with all USDA and state regulations while delivering high-quality, safe, and accessible meal services that support youth and families.

Requirements

  • ServSafe Kitchen Manager Certification
  • Experience managing multi-site operations (food service, logistics, or programs)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance standards
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel frequently (GA & SC)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Successful background and MVR check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods; fast-paced, high-energy environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multi-site SFSP operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain accurate records (meal counts, logs, site documentation) and support audits/reviews
  • Conduct required site monitoring visits and serve as primary compliance contact
  • Lead food safety efforts, ensuring ServSafe standards across all locations
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise 50+ seasonal staff/volunteers
  • Coordinate logistics including meal production, delivery routes, inventory, and supply distribution
  • Build partnerships with community organizations and support program outreach
